Suggestion Scheme

Status: Client Project

We implemented efficient suggestion scheme solutions for various major customers. The technological concepts range from Access front-ends in combination with SQL-Server back-ends to multilanguage, java-based intranet solutions with worldwide access.

The basis of our technological decisions are aspects like motivation, workflow considerations, traceability and the determination of distinct key figures to measure results.

Motivation:
Suggestion schemes rely on distributions that are provided by staff of their own accord, as the ideas aim at uncovering potentials to increase productivity and to cut costs. An integrated reward system, which determines the bonuses for successful implementations, has proven its worth.

Workflow:
Supplied suggestions have to be analysed and evaluated by a qualified panel (correction, refusal or approval of an idea). Furthermore, approved suggestions should be provided to other business units in a proactive way, including the possibility for them to evaluate ideas for their own particular demands. Individual workflow implementations ensure that optimisations are evaluated.

Traceability:
As optimisations are put into practice, the implementation of a reward system guarantees the registration of a successful completion within the system.

Key Figures:
Each organisation relies on key figures to determine their objects in detail. The correct determination of key figures are the foundation to indicate relevant effects on management level.
